Natural Bridge Caverns are the largest commercial caverns in Texas. The deepest part of the public tour is 180 feet below the surface. Undeveloped areas of the cavern reach depths of 230 feet. Adventure Tours allow you to explore these undeveloped "wild" cave areas. Get lowered down a 160-foot deep well shaft. Explore the depths with only the light from your helmet. Experienced staff guide you. Drop, crawl, climb and slide through the caves ? teens will love the raw adventure.

Texas Ski Ranch (TSR) is a 70-acre action sports paradise. It is ranked as one of the top wakeboarding and cable park facilities in the world. Learn to ski and wakeboard or snowboard, skateboard or stand up paddleboard. Lessons are by sponsored skaters and TSR skate team. Advanced athletes and competitors can take their skills to the next level. Lessons include helmet and pads, but bring your own skateboard! You get one hour of private coaching plus one hour to continue skating and practice what you learn. There's also two paint ball courses and a Nerf Gun course.

For the Younger Set

The Canopy Explorer Course & Zip Lines at Natural Bridge Caverns are three adventure activities in one. Test your balance on a four-story obstacle course. Can you grapple your way to the top of a 60-foot, four-tier adventure course in 30 minutes? Test your agility, balance and strength on 47 fascinating obstacles. Then, take your fun to the next level on the Zip Lines, gliding high above the Texas Hill Country. Snap into your harness, step to the edge of the zip line platform, raise your feet and sail across the landscape. For children six and under, there's also a Canopy Kids Course.

How about an up close and personal animal encounter? The Animal World & Snake Farm Zoo focuses on the importance of conservation. Meet the animal "ambassador" of your choosing with a zookeeper. Learn about the animal and develop a compassion for wildlife. Take photos with the animal, even hold the animal (depending on what animal is selected!) Choices include African Bullfrog, Striped Skunk, Polish Rabbit, Groundhog, Texas Tortoise, Savannah Monitor, Siamese Crocodile, Gopher Snake, Burmese Python, Coati and Fennec Fox.

Family Fun

Remember when you went to the drive in with your parents (or remember your parents talking about it!) In New Braunfels there's a brand new three-screen drive in theater. The Stars and Stripes Drive In Theater offers a unique family experience today. The 50's styled décor is fun and refreshments are reasonably priced. Enjoy two movies for the price of one and make a great family memory.

Texas Hill Country dance halls welcome families and feature great entertainers. Gruene Hall in New Braunfels is one of the oldest dance halls in Texas. It has free live music during the day. Popular artists entertain later in the evenings. It's a chance to teach those teens and preteens how to two-step and let the little ones dance on your toes.
