FSA Administration Company, Clarity Benefit Solutions, Discusses Four Ways to Simplify Employee Benefits Administration and Compliance

NEW YORK, Feb. 19, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- FSA administration company, Clarity Benefit Solutions, discusses four ways to simplify employee benefits administration and compliance.

The benefits administration and compliance process can be complex and challenging; between making decisions on which packages to offer, ensuring employees understand what types of packages are available to them, and guaranteeing that your company is in compliance with federal and/or state regulations. Here are four ways to simplify these procedures.

  1. Evaluate current benefits. You can start simplifying the benefit administration process by examining what benefits are currently being offered. Try to hone in on inefficiencies, such as hardly used or unused benefits. Avoid presenting employees with too many options, as it may be too overwhelming when it comes time for them to make their selection.
  2. Discontinue unnecessary benefits. Another way to simplify employee benefit administration is to remove those hardly used and unused benefits. The benefit administrator has less information to sift through, resulting in him or her having more time to focus on the benefits employees are using. And, employees will have an easier time choosing the best packages available based on their specific situations, perhaps having less questions for the benefit administrator.
  3. Provide ongoing education. Making sure employees comprehend the breadth of benefits available to them is a surefire way to simplify administration and compliance. Be sure to offer this information in a multitude of formats, such as meetings, emails, webinars/websites, print, and social media?and that they can access this information at their convenience. It's also a good practice to have a benefits expert on hand to address any questions or concerns.
  4. Use benefits administration software. Using benefit administration software will streamline the entire benefit administration and compliance process. It will automate processes such as tracking new hires, managing employee leave, and firings. It also reduces paperwork as well as the chance for human error. These numerous advantages result in significant time savings, freeing up the benefits administrator to focus on employee satisfaction and having the ability to provide the most up-to-date information in a timely manner.
