Treasure Hunt Jackpot Split in Allegheny County

MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Feb. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Two winning tickets split a $120,000 Pennsylvania Lottery Treasure Hunt jackpot from the Thursday, February 15, drawing.

Each ticket matched all five numbers drawn, 01-13-17-18-19, to win $60,000, less applicable withholding. They were sold by Ritzland Beer Distributor, 10733 Frankstown Road, Pittsburgh; and Giant Eagle, 254 Yost Blvd., Braddock Hills, Allegheny County.

Prizes must be claimed and tickets validated before winners can be identified. Treasure Hunt winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Treasure Hunt ticket should promptly sign the back of the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office. Lottery offices will be closed on Monday, February 19, for Presidents Day.

In addition to paying more than $256.3 million in prizes to winners in Allegheny County during the 2016-17 fiscal year, the Lottery provided more than $129.2 million to benefit older residents.

How to play Treasure Hunt: Players pay $1 and choose five numbers from 1 to 30. Players may select their own numbers or opt for computer-selected quick picks. Players must match all five numbers drawn to win the jackpot. Players also win prizes for matching two, three or four winning numbers. A day game, Treasure Hunt is drawn seven days a week and tickets can be purchased up to seven draws (one week) in advance. Ticket sales end at 1:05 p.m. daily. Chances of winning the jackpot prize are 1 in 142,506; the overall chances of winning any prize are about 1 in 5.45.

About Us: The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery to direct all proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since ticket sales began in 1972, it has contributed nearly $28 billion to fund property tax and rent rebates, transportation, care services, prescription assistance, and local services including senior centers and meals.

Players must be 18 or older. Please play responsibly. Call 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537) for help with a compulsive gambling problem.
