Maxwell Football Club Names 2018 Innovation in Safety Award Winner


PHILADELPHIA, Feb. 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Maxwell Football Club (MFC) today named Joe Skiba, long-time equipment manager for the New York Football Giants, winner of the 2018 Innovation in Safety Award. Presented by the MFC and co-sponsor VICIS (VYE-sis), developer of high-tech football helmets, the award will be given to Skiba at the Maxwell Club National Awards Gala in Atlantic City on March 9, 2018.

The Innovation in Safety Award recognizes NFL and NCAA equipment managers or athletic trainers who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to the advancement of player safety.

Current Equipment Director and member of the New York Giants organization since 1994, Skiba has served on the NFL's Health and Safety Committee for the past decade, contributing his expertise on equipment matters. Skiba won NFL Equipment Manager of the Year recognition in 2011 and regularly conducts equipment fitting and safety clinics for the New York Giants and USA Football.
