Chance for Life Presented by Boeing, DC's Premiere Charity Event, Taking Place Saturday, March 10th at MGM National Harbor

WASHINGTON, Feb. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Washington area's premiere charity event, Chance for Life presented by Boeing, today announced they will host their 13th annual event at MGM National Harbor on Saturday, March 10th. All proceeds from Chance for Life, which features a 700-person poker tournament, Chef's Taste Experience and Party, will directly fund vital pediatric cancer research at Children's National Health System and through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.

The star-studded event offers 700 amateur players a chance to compete in a Texas Hold 'Em tournament hosted by legendary fourteen-time World Series of Poker winner, Phil Hellmuth, for a $10,000 seat at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Guests can expect a full day of top-shelf open bar, a sprawling food presentation from top local restaurants, one of the region's largest silent auctions, and a high-energy after party featuring a surprise live performance.

Since being founded in 2005, Chance for Life has raised over $2.7 million for pediatric cancer research, grossing more than $750,000 in 2017 alone. This year's event is proudly presented by The Boeing Company and Tim Keating, its Senior Vice President or Government Operations, will serve as Chairman. MGM National Harbor will serve as the hosting venue for the event for the second year in a row. The sponsors of this year's event also include Facebook, GEICO, United Bank, Comcast Sportsnet, Enterprise Holdings, National Capital Bank, The Meltzer Group, and more.

"Boeing is proud to support Chance for Life in its fight against childhood cancer," said Tim Keating, Senior Vice President, Government Operations for Boeing. "Our company understands the importance of giving back, and we are united in our effort to drive powerful, positive change and support the communities where we live and work."

"MGM National Harbor is proud to play a role and for the second consecutive year, provide the setting for this incredible event benefiting pediatric cancer research", said Melonie Johnson, President of MGM National Harbor. "We support the efforts of Children's National Health System, in conjunction with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, to serve these critical needs of our community and protect the bright futures of so many children. We look forward to a monumental event."

"In a city full of causes and galas, we wanted to create something different, fun and, most importantly, impactful. And that is what Chance for Life is ? a raucous, dynamic experience that is unlike any other in the Washington area," said Brad Nierenberg, Founder of Chance for Life. "We are thrilled to have Boeing as our presenting sponsor for 2018 and have the event back at the stunning MGM National Harbor.
