Computer recycling in Montreal, Quebec for a good cause

The Electronic Recycling Association is looking to create new relationships with businesses in Montreal to supply charitable organizations with the gift of technology

MONTREAL, Feb. 2, 2018 /CNW/ - In light of the Electronic Recycling Association's (ERA) grand opening, they are appealing to businesses who are looking to dispose of their unwanted electronics.

The ERA, a non-profit organization, has been reducing unnecessary e-waste and its adverse environmental contribution through the recovery, refurbishment and donation of electronic and IT equipment since 2004. The ERA also has locations in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Saskatoon, Winnipeg and Toronto.

At this time the ERA has a limited amount of electronics to donate to charitable organizations within Montreal.  They will be reaching out to businesses, organizations and individuals who may be able to help fulfill some donations throughout Quebec.

"We have noticed a rapid growth in the number of donation requests from charitable organizations over the years." Said Bojan Paduh, Founder and President of the Electronic Recycling Association. "Technological devices have become a need nowadays more than a want. We need the internet in order to apply for jobs, keep in contact with family and friends and to run our day to day businesses."

No longer will old computers be trashed, shredded and melted, before being given a chance for a second life. ERA will work with individuals and corporations to reuse and refurbish computers, laptops, and electronics, and donate them into the local communities in Montreal, Quebec City, and all over the province of Quebec.

About the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA)

Established in 2004, ERA is a non-profit organization directed to reduce the environmental impact of improperly discarded toxic electronic waste by offering accessible services to help corporations and individuals manage their retiring IT assets. Through industry leading pickup, data removal and reporting/certification services, ERA provides a full-circle solution for e-waste management. With reuse being ERA's top priority, every item that is received is examined for any remaining productive life and refurbished for reuse. True end of life items are transferred to accredited recyclers where a nil landfill contribution can be assured. ERA is committed to supporting local charities and individuals in need through the provision of electronic equipment to charities and individuals alike.
