Media Advisory - Ambassadors Craft and MacNaughton to discuss Canada-U.S. Energy Trade


OTTAWA, Feb. 1, 2018 /CNW/ - Westin Hotel - Kelly Craft, Ambassador of the United States to Canada, will join her counterpart David MacNaughton, Ambassador of Canada to the United States, on stage in Ottawa on Monday, February 5 for a discussion of bilateral issues in energy trade. Their remarks and conversation will headline the Energy Council of Canada's annual Energy Updates and Insights event.

The theme for this year's event is: Energy Trade in North America: Issues and Opportunities. It takes place against a dynamic backdrop of trade-related developments, including ongoing efforts to re-negotiate the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Cross-border infrastructure, market integration, climate change, other emerging issues impacting continental energy trade will be among the topics explored by leading subject matter experts.  Representatives of leading industry associations will share their views on trade issues and opportunities for Canada's energy sector.
