The Marc Pro Cycling Team Rolls in to 2018

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif., Jan. 30, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Marc Pro, creators of electronic muscle recovery and conditioning devices that maximize training, help prevent injury and deliver pain relief, announces Title Sponsorship of the Marc Pro Cycling Team presented by Gym One. Having supported the team, formerly known as H24 Cycling, as a presenting sponsor for the last 3 years, Marc Pro is proud to be title sponsor of the team for 2018, alongside supporting sponsors that include Gym One of Cambria, CA, KTM Bike Industries, Ritchey WCS, Praxis Works, Rudy Project, Wahoo ELEMNT, and Jackroo.

The 15-rider elite team, racing under the direction of long-time Bay Area cycling fixture Philip Mooney, will be registered as a USA Cycling Domestic Elite team in 2018. The team will retain their core talent from their 2017 season, and bolsters the roster with the addition of 3 new riders. The race calendar will take the team to many of the largest and most prestigious cycling races in the US and multiple international tours and "vueltas" around the globe.

"Marc Pro is excited to grow our support of such a talented group of cyclists who understand the benefits of electronic muscle stimulation, particularly as it pertains to post-exercise recovery and bouncing back faster after long and hard endurance races," said Marc Pro President and CEO, Ryan Heaney. "Whether it be to reduce muscle fatigue and soreness, offer pain relief and prevent injury or for overall mobility, we look forward to continuing to help this team train and compete at their best."

The Marc Pro Cycling Team heads into 2018 with seasoned returning riders on a quest for top results throughout the season. The well-known rider, Blake Anton, steps up alongside Chris Harland-Dunaway as co-team captain and brings his considerable racing experience and expertise to the team. Harland-Dunaway will lead the charge for the international racing calendar that includes races in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, China, and Africa. Soon-to-be-graduating UCLA student, Sam Boardman, will focus his individual time trial skills as the leader for the General Classification in stage races. Additionally, Willie Meyers, the winningest rider in NorCal over the last few seasons, contributes his good-natured personality and fast finishes to races across the country.

The core of the team will be joined by three young riders in 2018. Quinten Kirby of San Diego, CA is a proven finisher and looks to unleash his powerful sprint and cagey bike handling skills in PRT and UCI races around the world. Gavin Murray of Sebastapol, CA, will focus his big engine at national level events and hopes to prove his mettle as a crafty rider in breakaways. Former unicycling star and recent graduate of UC Santa Cruz, Sam Anderson-Moxley, of Boulder CO (by way of Oakland, CA) joins the team and will be looking to increase his experience and seek General Classification results throughout the season.

The last three seasons have been incredibly successful racing seasons for the team, with a number of notable breakthroughs on both the National and International scene. In 2015, Justin Rossi's win in the time trial at the Chico Stage Race and narrow 2nd place in the National Time Trial Championships cemented his place as one of the premier athletes in the nation in the race against the clock. In 2016, Tim Rugg's podium finish in the General Classification at the Chico Stage Race, his podium in the White Rock Road Race at Canada's BC Superweek, as well as his multiple stage wins while guest riding at the UCI 2.2 Tour of Rwanda proved he was one of the strongest riders in the nation. Willie Myers' back-to-back State Criterium Championships and numerous race wins put him in the crosshairs as the top fast-finisher on the west coast. Sam Bassetti's breakout 2017 season saw him podium and win UCI and international races around the world.

The 2018 Elite team roster includes: Justin Rossi, Chris Harland-Dunaway, Sam Boardman, Matthew Tracey-Cook, Blake Anton, Justin Mauch, Torey Philipp, Dave Christenson, Ryan Moore, Jacob Albrecht, Willie Myers, Nate Freed, Gavin Murray, Quinten Kirby and Sam Anderson-Moxley.
