Profounda, Inc. launches Rhinase® Baby Lubricating Nasal Drops, the only non-prescription, wetting-agent based nasal moisturizer that will help babies and toddlers with nasal dryness associated with allergies, low Humidity, stuffy nose and nosebleeds

ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Profounda, Inc. ("Profounda") announced today that Rhinase® Baby Lubricating Nasal Drops is now available in the United States through Rhinase.com and Amazon.com as well as on retail shelves at Kinney Drugs.  Patients can also ask their Pharmacists to order Rhinase products directly from Profounda or Cardinal Health.

NEW BABY RHINASE LUBRICATING NASAL DROPS. For newborns/infants, use Rhinase wetting drops to move the mucus to the front of the nose, making it easier to remove with an aspirator or tissue. Daily use of Rhinase Baby drops will help keep nasal passages clean and moisturized. Other baby nasal drops that only contain one salt, Rhinase Baby drops contains dual salts to work naturally with the bodies moisturizing process and dual wetting agents to effectively moisturize and protect your little child.

?Parents use Rhinase Lubricating Nasal Drops to alleviate congestion and other symptoms caused by nasal dryness. Rhinase Baby helps dilute and move mucus to the front of baby's nose, making it easier to remove with an aspirator. Daily use of Rhinase Baby drops will help keep nasal passages clean and moisturized.

Unlike other baby nasal drops that are only saline, Rhinase Baby drops contain dual salts that work with the body's natural moisturizing process as well as dual wetting agents to effectively moisturize and protect your little child's nose. Parents can avoid putting cotton swabs, twisted tissues or fingernails inside their baby's nose, which can cause bacteria and infections, and instead use soothing drops to calm already irritated noses.

Today, patients have limited options for controlling problematic nasal symptoms. Saline rinses use mechanical force to clear clogged noses but are not focused on moisturizing, while steroids may be needed to control symptoms of moderate-to-severe allergic rhinitis, yet overuse can be an issue. A 2010 nasal allergy survey revealed that nearly 64 percent of patients discontinue the use of nasal steroid prescriptions due to the unwanted side effects.  Both saline rinses and steroids along with other decongestants may leave your nasal passages overly dry resulting in burning and stinging. This can lead to excess mucus created by your body as it tries to compensate for the lack of moisture.

"The introduction of Rhinase Baby Lubricating Drops gives parents another choice in helping their children deal with nasal congestion," said Todd MacLaughlan, CEO of Profounda. "The addition of Rhinase Lubricating Nasal Drops joins the gel and mist forms of Rhinase to offer relief to the whole family."
