Austin-Based Wellnicity Raises $3.6 Million in Seed Funding Round

AUSTIN, Texas, Jan. 23, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Wellnicity, a provider of consumer-driven at-home health test kits and professional-grade supplements, recently secured $3.6 million in seed funding, led by Austin-based Capstar Partners. Wellnicity will use the funding to further develop its proprietary software platform, support go-to-market efforts, and invest in its state-of-the-art packaging and fulfillment capabilities.

Wellnicity's At-Home Test Kit

"We chose to invest in Wellnicity for two reasons. First, as a customer I experienced first-hand the positive effects it has had on my body and overall well-being. In short, I'm hooked. What I appreciate about Wellnicity is that it empowers people to take their health into their own hands with customized and convenient solutions that provide a simple way to feeling their best," says Steve Hicks of Capstar Partners. "Second, we believe it's the future of personal health and wellness and we're excited to be behind this project. Because their products, procedures and programs are so effective, retention rates are high, and lives are improved."

The process of joining Wellnicity is based in convenience and simplicity. The system begins with a quiz that asks you questions about your symptoms and concerns, and then recommends at-home test kits based on your answers. From there, Wellnicity provides you with customized vitamin regimens recommended by clinicians based on the test results from independent certified labs. This process is extremely effective, and to date, Wellnicity has run more than 30,000 panels with customized supplement solutions with significant success in moving brain chemistry bio-markers to normal ranges.

"Wellnicity brings a new approach to health and wellness. No more 'one-size-fits-all' promises. No more guesswork about what supplements ? and what dosage ? may or may not work for you. Wellnicity is where clinical science meets personalized wellness and convenience," says Wellnicity's CEO, Kerry Brooks. "Wellnicity grabbed hold of the idea that if more people had access to information about what was going on in their own bodies, we could help them achieve their optimal health through customized vitamin regimens ? and we tackled it."

Wellnicity's current product offerings include the following products, plus free clinician guidance and free, same-day shipping:

Wellnicity was founded in Austin by Pam Machemehl Helmly and is backed by more than 12 years of professional clinical experience. Wellnicity is the only company on the market that provides at-home tests and offers customized supplement protocols based on individual's unique levels. Therefore, no two protocols will be the same. Wellnicity also provides one-on-one consultations with expert clinicians, ensuring consumers are getting the best solutions for their body with their 360° therapeutic feedback loop system.

"Wellnicity's story began because there were many families who chose not to do medications, or they had failed medication therapies. These clients suffered from sleep disorders, anxiety, depression and focus," says founder and Chief Science Officer, Pam Machemehl Helmly. "Through neurotransmitter testing, we could see when the levels were imbalanced and we could create a customized supplemental and dietary solution to bring levels back into optimal ranges. There was a profound effect on patients' health and well-being. We are excited to bring our science-backed process and premium, professional-grade supplements to more people through the help of Capstar Partners."

In addition to Wellnicity's development of software and packaging equipment, the company is exploring rounding out its management team. For more information, or to sign up, please visit www.wellnicity.com.
