FLO welcomes Ontario's Workplace Charging Incentive Program

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Jan. 18, 2018 /CNW Telbec/ - FLO, the Canadian leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions, welcomes the Ontario Ministry of Transportation's initiative to support employers and commercial building owners that wish to offer electric vehicle charging with the launch of the Workplace Electric Vehicle Charging Incentive Program.

"As electric vehicle adoption keeps rising, there will be a growing demand for charging stations in workplaces. Statistics show that more than 80% of EV charging occurs at home or at work. Offering charging stations at work can help employers attract talent and increase employee satisfaction, while demonstrating leadership in supporting clean transportation and sustainable development," said Louis Tremblay, CEO of FLO.

In Ontario, there are currently more than 16,000 electric vehicles on the road. EV sales grew by 67% last year and will represent 20% of all new car sales by 2030.

As Canada's leading charging solution provider, FLO is well positioned to help employers and commercial building managers take advantage of this program. FLO has an extensive experience working with high-profile companies such as Alectra Utilities, Bombardier, Bell Canada and Cascades to integrate large-scale charging solutions.

The program provides funding for Level 2 charging stations, which can fully charge most electric vehicles in five to six hours. FLO currently operates more than 4,000 of these charging stations across the country, providing remote monitoring in real time to guarantee reliability and service quality.

FLO offers turnkey and customizable solutions that can be adapted for a wide range of parking environments and building types. The company's products are all made in Canada and designed to endure the harshest weather conditions. They are also equipped with built-in energy management features that help reduce energy and installation costs for station owners.
