"Pathfinder is the one card you need for both your everyday purchases and travel; whether you're an on-the-go millennial or a boomer planning your family reunion, it all adds up. With Pathfinder you don't have to be a world traveler to get world-class travel rewards."

Credit card industry experts praise the card's high-value rewards and competitive perks.

"The Pathfinder Rewards American Express® Card is breaking new ground by providing Cardholders the value and benefits of a high, annual fee card, without the annual fee," said Jason Steele, Credit Card Expert, who reviewed the card on CreditKarma.com. "Pathfinder offers competitive rewards for both travel and everyday expenses, unprecedented for a card with no annual fee. It would be a mistake not to consider this card."

"The new PenFed Pathfinder Rewards Card offers unprecedented perks for a no-annual-fee rewards card," said Brooklyn Lowery, editor of CardRatings.com. "PenFed Pathfinder Rewards Cardholders can quickly rack up rewards close to home since the broad definition of 'travel' includes everything from commuter transportation and ride-sharing purchases to airfare and hotel stays," Lowery said. "Knowing you're earning bonus rewards toward your next getaway every time you take the bus into work just might make that Monday to Friday grind a bit more bearable."
