Spot Ex is now indicated for clinical surveillance in addition to surgical localization. Leading societies recommend tattooing of malignant lesions, post-polypectomy sites, and difficult-to-detect polyps to enable future identification at follow-up colonoscopy or surgery.¹

Recently published national data highlighted that colon cancer incidence and mortality rates are rising in younger patients.^2,3 Additionally, new clinical guidelines have been released from the European Society Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) that recommend tattooing all lesions that need to be followed-up at future colonoscopy or surgery.¹
