Chess Supply Company, The House of Staunton, Analyzes the Top Three Opening Moves That Will Lead to Victory

HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Jan. 11, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Wood chess pieces manufacturer, The House of Staunton, discusses three opening chess moves worth using in your next serious chess match.

Chess players have thousands of moves available to them. In fact, the sheer number of possible plays can be overwhelming. So, it's important to find a few strong opening moves that increase your chance of winning and master them.

Of course, some plays allow players to win a match in two to three moves, but experienced chess players will detect these moves and take steps to defend against them. Therefore, players should learn a handful of more useful moves and use them during the opening game to strengthen their position?both offensively and defensively. Chess supplier, The House of Staunton, suggests players learn these three moves:

1.   King's Pawn. In this move, the pawn in front of the king is moved forward two spaces, giving a bishop and the queen space to enter the game. Early development of each piece is essential if players want to win.

2.   Indian Game. The Indian Game move is an excellent way to defend against an opponent who moves their King Pawn forward two squares. In this move, the defending player moves their knight to f6. Winning requires players develop a potent offense and defense. So, learning moves with offensive and defensive advantages is a must. The Indian Game move is a strong defensive way and is thus worth mastering.

3.   Ruy Lopez. Ruy Lopez is, arguably, one of White's most powerful opening moves. To execute this play, White brings their king pawn to e4. Then, moves their knight from g1 to f3 and their bishop from f1 to b5. This sequence of plays positions White to win early by creating several challenges for Black to overcome. It also makes it possible for White to castle. Overall, this particular move offers White the ability to develop a strong offensive game.
