Florida Healthcare Law Firm Attorney Dave Davidson Closes Second Proton International Transaction

DELRAY BEACH, Fla., Dec. 15, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Florida Healthcare Law Firm Attorney Dave Davidson, who is Florida Board Certified as a Specialist in Health Law, has taken the lead for Proton International on two proton center transactions this year. The first, the Delray Medical Center Proton Therapy Treatment Center, involved an $81M bond issue and closed earlier this year in May. Just this week, the deal was closed for University of Alabama at Birmingham to develop Alabama's first proton therapy center which is due to begin construction in January 2018.

"Our client, Proton International, works with hospitals and physician groups in the United States and internationally to develop one- and two-room proton therapy facilities, as well as larger facilities, on a turnkey basis. Their team has developed and operated both large centers and smaller alternatives," Dave Davidson says. Davidson goes on to explain, "Financing for the UAB project was accomplished through the Public Finance Authority, a Wisconsin governmental body which issues tax-exempt and taxable conduit bonds for public and private entities nationwide."

"Healthcare business transactions like these are highly complex and involve millions of dollars of assets and financing," said Jeff Cohen, who is also Board Certified as a Specialist in Health Law and founded the Florida Healthcare Law Firm in 2009. Cohen goes on to say, "Our clients rely on our knowledge of compliance with laws & regulations to get these deals done quickly and properly."
