The Way Foundation Finds New Way To Address Addiction Resource Shortage

COLLINGSWOOD, N.J., Dec. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In response to the growing need for various addiction treatment and support resources, a new nonprofit, The Way Foundation, has been created. The nonprofit will create a network of nonprofits that are interested in sharing their resources with each other to achieve a more efficient delivery of services.

The Way Foundation provides community awareness and addiction recovery resources. Our mission is to assist other nonprofits as they strive to serve the addicted population.

"The Way Foundation is a nonprofit organization designed to assist other nonprofit organizations in their mission of helping anyone achieve long-term sobriety," said Diana Dubbs, Executive Director of The Way Foundation.  "There are so many organizations out there that are working so hard on their own to reach the same common goal. There is a real benefit to everyone when we come together to streamline our efforts and pool our resources."

Liberation Way, a drug and alcohol treatment center with locations in the Philadelphia area, created The Way Foundation nonprofit to better serve the community's growing need for addiction treatment, sober living scholarships, family support programs and community education and awareness.

"Other treatment centers create nonprofits to assist their existing patients. While it is certainly in our interest to do that, we also have a vested interest within the community and the existing nonprofits that have supported us," said Dubbs.  "As a way of giving back to nonprofits who are working tirelessly to help those struggling with addiction and their loved ones, we created this platform for prevention services and awareness through fundraising and support within the communities around us. Together we can make an impact by sharing our individual expertise and resources."

The Way Foundation will also be opening up The Way Club in 2018.  It will be the first of several peer to peer clubhouse centers that will provide a safe haven for addicts who are looking to achieve recovery in some way through medical, treatment, and aftercare resources not limited to the privately insured.  The clubhouse will offer, 12 step, non 12 step, Al anon, Nar anon, family support, and special recovery events.
