Origen Technologies & Telefónica Open Cloud Partnership

AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Origen Technologies, a Global SAP Services & Solutions Partner, which specializes in localization and compliance for MNC's with Latin American operations, is pleased to announce a partnership with Telefónica USA. Origen will incorporate Telefónica's Open Cloud Platform to its value-added services and offer SAP SaaS-based offerings to its existing customer base and net new prospects.

Origen has an existing PMC (Partner Managed Cloud) Agreement with SAP that allows subscription-based pricing of traditional SAP solutions through a partner's private hosted cloud in the form of packaged and managed services.

Through the PMC partnership with SAP and Telefónica IaaS, Origen expects to focus on the following primary related compliance areas specific for companies with Latin American operations:

"Our target market is US-based and LatAm based multinationals with operations in Latin America that are currently running SAP and want to consolidate the solution landscape on one common ERP platform," says Anil Mahendra, partner at Origen Technologies, Inc. "We also will focus on SMB and Mid-Market accounts in Brazil that use 3rd party solutions for Brazil fiscal reporting. Accounts that are looking for options for an SAP-centric solution and can benefit from the scalability and agility a cloud-enabled offering can provide."

"Today, cloud solutions are the de-facto market trend. Through Telefónica's cloud computing solutions, companies can access a broad range of infrastructure and deployment services from Telefónica. Thus, it opens the door to the SAP solution market for potential SME and Large Enterprise customers that will be able to move faster, lower IT costs, and scale applications in different locations across the US and in key locations across Latin America," says Pete Wilson, Channel Sales Director at Telefónica USA.

"This alliance between Origen Technologies as a SAP partner for Telefónica enables SAP customers access to value-based offerings from a highly recognized SAP systems integrator with unparalleled knowledge of Latin America, together with a broad range of infrastructure and technical capabilities from Telefónica. The result is the ability to provide alternatives to otherwise costly and complex compliance projects with a lower TCO by adopting a traditional SaaS approach where software licensing, hosting, deployment can be paid on a subscription basis over multi-year terms," said Luis Olivares, partner at Origen Technologies.
