Assisting children and their families in the development of healthy eating habits, Dr. Chatoor specializes in the areas of feeding disorders in regards to the infant population.

Professor of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the George Washington University, Dr. Chatoor is an advocate in early childhood feeding and eating interventions. A renowned international speaker  across the areas of Asia, Europe and the South and Central Americas,  Dr. Chatoor has spoken to pediatricians, gastroenterologists, psychologists and psychiatrists about children's feeding problems. Published author of "Diagnosis and Treatment of Feeding Disorders" and "When You're Child Won't Eat or Eats Too Much," Dr. Chatoor also contributed to an article entitled, "A practical approach to classifying and managing feeding difficulties."

Throughout the course of her education and training, Dr. Chatoor attained her Medical degree at the University of Heidelberg. She then went on to complete both her residency and fellowship in Pediatrics at Children's National Medical Center through George Washington University. Later, Dr. Chatoor would then go on to complete an additional residency in Psychiatry at George Washington University and spent a transitional year completing an Internship at Providence Hospital.
To further her professional development, Dr. Chatoor is a member of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Pediatrics.

Board certified in the areas of Psychiatry, Pediatrics and Child Psychiatry, Dr. Chatoor holds a medical license for Washington, D.C. and Maryland.

When not working, Dr. Chatoor enjoys writing.
