Siena College Anti-Bullying Counselors Available for Media Interviews in Wake of Tennessee Child's Viral Video

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y., Dec. 11, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The whole country is talking about Keaton Jones and his newfound celebrity friends who are helping him cope with bullying.

At Siena College, a dedicated group of students has been traveling to high schools across New York state this semester, encouraging their younger counterparts to take a stand against cyberbullying.

The students are part of a first-of-its kind Upstander Program, and are happy to talk with news organizations to discuss the need for peer education and how it can combat situations like the one Keaton is facing. There is hope, and young people are leading the way in raising awareness and changing behaviors. 

Siena's Upstander Program is presented in conjunction with AT&T and the Tyler Clementi Foundation, and will continue in classrooms across New York after winter break. Discussions are underway to expand the program to other states.
