Technologies Maid Labs intensifies U.S. market penetration - Government of Canada awards $50,000 in financial assistance to this Granby business

GRANBY, QC, Dec. 11, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ -  Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions (CED)

Technologies Maid Labs will be able to proceed with an ambitious U.S. market development project. In 2017, the Government of Canada adopted a plan to support Canadian entrepreneurs in their search for innovative solutions that will serve communities. The funding granted to Technologies Maid Labs is in line with the intent to provide innovative businesses with adequate resources to create and commercialize innovative products. As a true catalyst for change in the business world, innovation is driving the Canadian economy and generating economic growth that benefits businesses and communities.

The announcement was made this morning by Pierre Breton, Member of Parliament for Shefford, acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED.

Founded in 2013, Technologies Maid Labs Inc. manufactures monitoring, measurement and data-logging instrumentation and software for wastewater and drinking water pumping stations. The business has just filed a patent application to confirm its position as a global leader in the development of a computational algorithm that gives its technology a high degree of precision in data interpretation. Technologies Maid Labs provides municipalities and wastewater management organizations with instrumentation that helps them achieve cost savings, carry out preventive maintenance and make better use of their existing equipment, based on the events that need to be addressed.

CED's $50,000 contribution will help Technologies Maid Labs respond to the interest that U.S. cities have shown in their products and to implement its U.S. market development strategy. With the delivery of this project, the business is well on the way to achieving its growth objectives for the coming years.

This repayable contribution was awarded through CED's Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP), within the broader framework of the Government of Canada's Innovation and Skills Plan. The project will also create one permanent job in the company.
