Beautiful Chongqing, A City With Mountains And Rivers, To Open Times Square New Year's Eve Celebration

NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- This year's Times Square New Year's Eve celebration will be extra special as the Sino-American Friendship Association and the Times Square Celebration Committee will invite Chongqing (China) to present a cultural feast themed as "Beautiful Chongqing, a City with Mountains and Rivers."

The annual mega-event will feature Chinese entertainers from Chongqing in a distinct dragon dance while others will present the Chongqing traditional folk song and a performance showcasing a scene of heroes breaking through the Three Gorges.

For the finale, the Chinese singers will lead the audience in singing "Dragon's Descendants," a famous Chinese song proclaiming China's national pride as the dragon lights up, circling over the stage to end the ceremony.

The beauty of Chongqing belongs to both China and the world. Located at the southwest of China, Chongqing is the largest and one of most populous cities in the world and boasts a long history and beautiful sceneries.
