Addonics Announces a Portable 1:3 High Performance HDD/SSD Duplicator

SAN JOSE, Calif., Nov. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Addonics Technologies (www.addonics.com) today announced a Jasper II Portable 1:3 High Performance HDD/SSD Duplicator that can make an exact copy of the data from any SATA drive onto three other SATA drives.

Powered by a 12V adapter, the Jasper II Portable duplicator has the size equivalent of a VHS video cassette and weighs a little over a half pound. The duplicator comes built-in with four standard 22 pins, SATA power and data combo connectors. Drives are directly attached to these four connectors and the duplicating process can start with a simple push of a button.

Depending on the speed of the drive, this duplicator can copy up to a maximum speed of 260MB per second or around 16GB per minute. A 2.5" hard drive, SSD or 3.5" hard drive can all be attached to this duplicator. Together with the Addonics family of 2.5" Flash drive kits, this duplicator can be used as a tool to transfer content among 3.5" HDD, 2.5" HDD/SSD, M2 SSD, mSATA SSD, micro SATA HDD/SSD, CF or CFast cards. The duplicator operates as standalone equipment and there is no need to connect to any computer. The portability and versatility makes this Jasper II Portable Duplicator a very convenient tool for making a quick drive backup, content distribution or data transfer between different types of drive or recycling old hard drives.

The Jasper II 1:3 Portable duplicator comes with a full suite of functions. Some of the functions include the option to copy just files or whole media, a drive sanitizing function, the option to copy from a larger drive to a smaller drive and the option to copy HPA. The whole media setting copies the drive sector by sector and this can copy drives in any kind of file system or format, including an encrypted drive or even a blank drive. Drive sanitizing options include Quick ERASE, FULL ERASE or multiple ERASE with DoD standard.

Price for the Jasper II 1:3 Portable Duplicator is $799.
