Sealite Launches New 3000mm Ocean Buoy - The Most Innovative Modular Designed Ocean Buoy on the Market

SOMERVILLE, Australia, Nov. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Sealite is pleased to announce the new ATLANTIC?3000, the first buoy in its class to offer a 3m diameter float section without the need for a central mooring post, making it lighter, easier to transport, and safer to assemble and deploy than steel or hybrid designs.

The new 3m diameter buoy has a focal height of up to 6 meters and can support a significant payload including lantern, power supply, telemetry and environmental monitoring equipment. The innovative modular design consists of rotationally moulded collars that connect to a central core float. Manufactured from strong, durable UV stabilised polyethylene, this large lightweight buoy provides a huge visual area for navaid recognition.

Designed for offshore, port and coastal applications, the ATLANTIC?3000 ocean buoy is easy to assemble, deploy and service. The internal tie?bars give the buoy superior lifting strength, resulting in a 10 Tonne Safe Working Load. The buoy can be easily manoeuvred around the site by convenient forklift access points and can sit flat on the deck of a vessel. The modular arrangement allows the buoy to be transported easily and safely, and assembled on site faster and at a lower cost than buoys of a comparable size.
