Phelps Construction Group completes construction of east coast Grammy Museum

BOONTON, N.J., Nov. 8, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Phelps Construction Group recently completed The Grammy Museum Experiencetm at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The 8,200 square foot museum is the first location on the east coast. It is located on the ground level of the Prudential Center and features educational programming and interactive exhibits which will allow guests to play instruments and learn how to mix songs. The museum includes a permanent collection, featuring a Jersey-centric display celebrating the Garden State's beloved artists, as well as traveling collections.

The Grammy Museum Experiencetm opened its doors to the public on Friday, October 20 after a star-studded ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, October 19. Additionally, Phelps Construction Group sponsored the Newark Regional Business Partnership's Private VIP Tour on November 8th. 

Acting as the construction manager, Phelps Construction Group completed the project as scheduled. President of Phelps Construction Group, Douglas Phelps, said, "It was an honor to work with the Prudential Center on this project and we are excited to be part of bringing Grammy music history to the east coast."
