"LexisNexis Risk Solutions has been supporting the law enforcement community for more than 30 years, and has earned the trust of its customers, due to its laser-focus on meeting and exceeding its customers' needs, to include the security of agency-provided data," said Tom Bush, Assistant Director of the FBI's CJIS division (ret.). "They are the gold standard in protecting the security of agency-provided data, and by creating this Advisory Committee, they have once again raised the bar by which all companies working with public safety data should be measured."

The Advisory Committee consists of:

The PSDEX compiles data from thousands of law enforcement agencies across the U.S. to help them solve crimes, stop threats and successfully anticipate future threats. The information includes a records management system, crash data, license plate reader data and offender databases. The data is provided back to agencies through the company's advanced linking technologies so these agencies can create community crime maps, do predictive analytics and accelerate criminal investigations through key solutions, including: Community Crime Map, Accurint® Crime Analysis and Accurint Virtual Crime Center. To date, more than 1,300 law enforcement agencies share data through the PSDEX.

"LexisNexis Risk Solutions is honored everyday by the trust of public safety agencies sharing their data with us so that we can deliver solutions that help to make their communities safer," said Haywood Talcove, CEO, Government, LexisNexis Risk Solutions and LNSSI. "We've been supporting the needs of law enforcement for more than 30 years and will be supporting law enforcement 30 years from now because of our experience, our customer focus and our dedication to leaving no stone unturned when it comes to addressing key customer pain points, such as data security. This new Advisory Committee will optimize the expertise of the best and brightest minds in criminal justice data practices and help ensure that we continue to excel in protecting the security of law enforcement-provided data."
