Editors and Influencers Celebrate the Launch of the Newly Expanded Bicester Village

OXFORD, England, Oct. 20, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- This morning, Desirée Bollier, Chair of Value Retail Management, welcomed designers, editors and influencers to celebrate the launch of the much-anticipated newly expanded Bicester Village, the biggest expansion since its original launch in 1995 with the addition of 30 new boutiques. Guests including Caroline Rush CBE, Italian art curator Rosanna Orlandi and retailer Trevor Pickett were also invited to mark the start of the festive season with a tour of The British Collective, a multi-brand pop-up boutique for Christmas designed by British illustrator Luke Edward Hall.

"We are thrilled to unveil the new expansion at Bicester Village. We have always strived to create a unique and stylish destination to welcome our discerning global guest. This new footprint allows us to push the boundaries of creativity and innovation to new levels, giving us the freedom to showcase young and exciting design talents of tomorrow whilst promoting the richness of culture offered by the Oxfordshire region."  Desirée Bollier

Following a reception at the new Secret Garden Café, guests perused the 31 new boutiques in the Village, ranging from Christopher Kane, Roksanda and Philipp Plein to the Charlotte Tilbury pop-up, before moving on to The British Collective. This new Christmas boutique features highlights from Chinti & Parker, Sophie Hulme, Jade Jagger and Tom Dixon, plus exclusive home products by Luke Edward Hall that include a must-have Christmas sweater in collaboration with Royal Warrant holder John Smedley. This is just a taste of what's to come, with more designers including British Fashion Council favourite Charlotte Olympia joining the Village next month.

The newly expanded Bicester Village further elevates the customer experience with the unveiling of Number 50, a by-appointment-only VIP space designed by Carden Cunietti where guests can retreat in absolute comfort for private shopping consultations, personalised trunk shows or to rest after a long day of shopping.  In celebration of this new phase, the Village has been re-landscaped by Wild at Heart founder Nikki Tibbles and features a specially commissioned art installation entitled Moon Blooms from renowned British artist Bruce Munro.
