Big Data Hyper-acceleration Firm Bigstream Completes Series A Funding Round with Cota Capital, Oriza Ventures, and Intel Capital

SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, at the Intel Capital CEO Showcase in San Francisco, Bigstream announced that it has closed its Series A funding round with strategic investments by Cota Capital, Oriza Ventures, and Intel Capital. This announcement reflects the growing intersection of Big Data computing workloads and hardware acceleration through multi-core CPUs and FPGAs.

Bigstream provides Hyper-acceleration of popular Big Data and Machine Learning platforms through advanced compiler and runtime technology, and automatic programming of FPGAs. This enables orders of magnitude performance speedups of platforms such as Apache Spark and Kafka without changing application code, without special APIs, and without needing FPGA programmers.
