Plus Relocation Opens Shanghai Office

MINNEAPOLIS, Oct. 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Plus Relocation is announcing the opening of a new operational center in Shanghai, focused on finance and supply chain management. Launching this wholly foreign-owned enterprise (WFOE) in China represents the latest step in the company's ongoing strategy to establish a presence in key locations around the world to better serve the evolving needs of clients and their mobile employees.

The Shanghai location will help Plus seamlessly process payments and invoices for activity within China, where strict financial regulations can make moving money a challenge for outside companies. Additionally, the new location brings Plus even closer to its supply chain, so the company can continue to ensure its clients are working with outstanding service partners.  The physical presence gives Plus an advantage over many other relocation companies.

Plus, which provides completely customized mobility solutions across the world, opened in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1968. Plus expanded into London in 2011, then opened a Hong Kong location in 2013. The new Shanghai operational center further supports and enhances the company's tri-regional service model.

"We are a company that is growing globally," Plus CEO Susan Schneider said. "Our new Shanghai location continues that journey, and expands upon our already strong presence in the APAC region."

"China is a huge destination for international assignees and expats," Schneider said. "We want to help our clients send people there and throughout the region, and our new Shanghai location is a critical asset toward that goal."

Plus's Shanghai office is led by Emily Fang, regional finance manager, and Eddie Ma, global supply chain manager. This talent collectively brings invaluable local expertise, and will help Plus and its clients conduct business in China.

"Plus was already a global company, but this operational center further expands our reach and capabilities," Schneider added. "We're all excited to be in Shanghai."
