Doc Halo Launches Halo Spectrum

CINCINNATI, Oct. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Doc Halo, a pioneer in real-time clinical communication and care coordination, has announced the release of its unified cloud based platform under the name Halo Spectrum.

Halo Spectrum is changing the way large health systems communicate and coordinate acute and ambulatory care in real time. The new Halo Spectrum platform consists of Messaging, Teams, Voice and Alerts on one platform, providing a full suite of tools designed to improve clinical communication and work seamlessly together. The technology addresses a vital challenge in healthcare: Nearly 80 percent of serious medical errors involve miscommunication during patient transfers, according to the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare.

"With the name change to Halo Spectrum, we wanted to convey that our product now covers the full spectrum of health care communication needs for physicians, nurses and all clinical workers," said Dr. Jose Barreau, Co-Founder and CEO of Doc Halo.

Halo Spectrum not only includes its Enterprise Messaging foundation module, but also Teams, a clinical coordination system which includes organizing Roles, Clinical Teams, Critical Teams and Enterprise wide on-call physician scheduling; Voice, which provides VoIP calling and other voice technologies; and Alerts, ensuring receipt and acknowledgement of only the most critical mobilized alerts in the hospital, helping to reduce fatigue. The product can be implemented in phases, depending on the needs of the health system.

"It is an exciting time at Doc Halo as we continue to define the standards for Real Time Communication across major health systems with Halo Spectrum.  Our health system partners realize that it's essential to have one unified communication system that goes across the acute and ambulatory settings for good patient outcomes and clinician satisfaction, and that is what we are delivering," said Dr. Barreau.
