Woobo Announces "Last Purchase" of Educational AI Robot for Kids

BOSTON, Oct. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Woobo, the company that helps kids learn through high-tech companions that enhance educational and emotional development, today announced a "last chance" for parents to purchase a Woobo robot ? a cuddly, artificial intelligence (AI)-based "learning launchpad" that sparks children's curiosity and exploration.

The company recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Woobo robot, which is priced at $199. Woobo is available for pre-order in the U.S. until October 21 at www.woobo.io.

Woobo includes counting, spelling, pattern, and grammar games which reference the Common Core based on the company's partnerships with organizations that align with the Common Core and possess proven capabilities with children this age.

"Playing with Woobo lets children practice reasoning and judge causal sequences through quizzes, puzzles, and adventure stories where kids make decisions and face consequences from their choices," said Feng Tan, founder and CEO of Woobo, Inc. "Playing and communicating with an imaginary friend improve narrative skills. Kids can ask Woobo questions they're curious about while receiving fun facts and prompts that encourage exploration."

Woobo works as a child companion who encourages imagination and creativity through interactive, fun, and imaginative content. Woobo includes role-play games and lets kids practice real-life scenarios. Woobo also has drawing, origami, and art games that encourage kids creativity.

"When you give your child a Woobo, you're providing an interactive companion that opens a world of curiosity and imagination and makes learning fun," said Tan. "We promise you this: Woobo is the smartest, most engaging imaginary playmate your child will ever have."

Woobo is 9" tall, weighs about 1.5 pounds, and includes a parenting app for iOS and Android setup and control capabilities. Woobo will ship the first Woobo companion robot during the 2017 holiday season.

Woobo retails for $199.99. Keep up with @AskWoobo & connect with us:
