Burns & McDonnell Is No. 3 MEP Giants Firm

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Burns & McDonnell has again placed among the top three largest firms on Consulting-Specifying Engineer (CSE) magazine's 2017 MEP Giants ranking of the nation's top 100 MEP firms. Burns & McDonnell ranked third in this year's ranking with $250.9 million in revenue from engineering projects in which the firm provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing or fire protection (MEP) services.

The 2017 ranking reflected the fifth consecutive year in which Burns & McDonnell has reported an increase in MEP project revenue. The growth reflects continued demand for consulting engineering, architectural design and commercial construction services for large, complex manufacturing, military, aviation, aerospace, higher education, civilian government, healthcare and commercial office facilities.

Burns & McDonnell's $250.9 million in MEP revenue compares with $215.6 million in 2016, when the firm also ranked as the No. 3 MEP Giants firm. MEP revenue was 10 percent of Burns & McDonnell's $2.5 billion in total revenue for 2016, the reporting period for the survey.
