NEW YORK, Oct. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Compass, a real estate technology company, today announced that Eytan Seidman will join its leadership team as Head of Product. Seidman will lead the company's growing product organization and further Compass' vision for technology that helps real estate agents manage and grow their business. Seidman's first day at the company will be October 23. He will report to Chief Operating Officer Maëlle Gavet.
Seidman joins Compass on the heels of several major product launches in 2017, including Marketing Center, a digital design studio that allows agents to create and produce beautiful marketing materials without the help of a designer, and Collections, an interactive home search tool that enables agents to collaborate with their clients via a Pinterest-like interface.
With 15 years of experience building technology products used by millions of people worldwide, Seidman will lead the development of Compass' next generation of tools that integrate client, market and listings intelligence.

A career technologist, Seidman previously sold the company he co-founded, Oyster.com, to TripAdvisor, after growing the site from launch to over 1,000,000 visitors per month. He subsequently spent four years in a Vice President and General Manager role at TripAdvisor where we oversaw a 50-person cross-functional team that included engineering, product management, design and operational staff. Prior to that, Seidman was a Principal Program Manager Lead at Microsoft, where he built Microsoft's first-ever customer relationship management (CRM) product and served as product manager for their search engine, Bing. At Microsoft, he built a team of 40 program managers and coordinated a virtual team of 60 developers, testers, program managers and support staff. Seidman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with dual degrees in Computer Science and History.
