StorageSeeker's Self Storage Rent Index Decreases by -0.8% in September 2017

DOVER, Del., Oct. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- StorageSeeker.com, the nation's leading online self-storage reservation network, is pleased to announce the results of its 11th month of tracking self-storage rental rates throughout the United States. In Sept. 2017, self-storage prices declined by -0.8% on average nationally. This second month of rent reduction follows August's reversal of five months of increasing self-storage prices.

At the local level, there were some cities with larger self-storage price changes during the same period, with prices both decreasing and increasing. Below are the Top 10 major cities that saw self-storage rent declines or increases across the U.S. in Sept. 2017.
