Match 6 Jackpot Winner Worth $1.1 Million Sold in Allegheny County


MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Oct. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- A jackpot-winning Pennsylvania Lottery Match 6 Lotto ticket worth $1.1 million from the Thursday, October 5, drawing was sold in Allegheny County.

The ticket correctly matched all six winning numbers, 05-10-28-30-40-47, to win the jackpot prize, less applicable withholding. American Natural (Exxon), 2619 Wexford Bayne Road, Sewickley, earns a $10,000 bonus for selling the big winning ticket.

The prize must be claimed and the ticket validated before the winner can be identified. Match 6 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.

Winners can be identified only after prizes are claimed and tickets validated. Match 6 prizes expire one year from the drawing date. Anyone holding a jackpot-winning Match 6 ticket should sign the ticket, call the Lottery at 717-702-8146 and file a claim at the nearest Lottery office. Lottery offices will be closed October 9 for Columbus Day, but all drawings will continue.

More than 46,200 other Match 6 Lotto tickets also won prizes in the drawing. Players are reminded to check every ticket, every time. Lower-tier prizes may be claimed at Lottery retailers.

In the 2015-16 fiscal year, in addition to awarding more than $247.6 million in prizes to winners in Allegheny County, the Pennsylvania Lottery contributed more than $131.9 million to programs serving the county's older residents.

How to Play Match 6 Lotto: Players pay $2 and choose six numbers from 1 to 49 or have numbers randomly selected by computer. The computer then randomly selects an additional two sets of six numbers, for three lines of six numbers each or 18 numbers total. Players can win up to four times on each ticket ? once on each of three lines (base play) and by combining all 18 numbers (combined play).
