CEIA USA Showcases New DSMD For UXO, Cluster Munitions And IED Detection

TWINSBURG, Ohio, Oct. 6, 2017 /CNW/ -- CEIA USA, Ltd., a premier provider of high-performance Ground Search Metal Detectors, today announced the availability of the new CEIA digital Deep Search Metal Detector (DSMD) for UXO, cluster munitions and IED detection.

The DSMD is specifically designed to detect a wide variety of medium to large size threat items made of every magnetic (ferrous) and non-magnetic (non-ferrous) metal including aluminum, copper and brass.  Simultaneously, it automatically ignores non-threat metal fragments and provides immunity to magnetic anomalies (i.e. overhead power lines, radios, jammers, etc.) and heavily mineralized soil.  This cutting-edge technology reduces false alarms or alarms that need to be investigated resulting in faster clearing times.

The DSMD features an embedded GPS and inertial navigation system that offers the recording and saving of critical data and points of interest in real-time during operations in areas such as UXO/Range Remediation. The fully digital electronics allow for in-field program upgrades, if required. The DSMD can be setup and operational in less than two minutes, requiring minimum training time.
