Gatesman Wins Competitive Pitch to Become Fellowes Agency-of-Record

PITTSBURGH, Oct. 5, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Gatesman, one of the fastest-growing, mid-sized privately owned marketing communications agencies, has been selected as agency-of-record (AOR) for global office brand, Fellowes, following a competitive review and pitch.

Chicago-area-based Fellowes Brands, category leader and inventor of the personal shredder, is a fourth-generation privately held company with a passion for producing quality office products and for giving back both locally and globally. As AOR, Gatesman is charged with developing an integrated marketing plan for 2018 and for providing Fellowes' full range of anticipated marketing services, including brand development, advertising, public relations, social media, digital and analytics, and media planning and buying. For confidentiality reasons, Gatesman was not able to disclose the budget, but confirmed the account will rank among the agency's largest.

"We are proud to be working with Jeff Dryfhout, John Fellowes and the team at Fellowes Brands to help them achieve their goals and vision of being the premier office brand in the world," said John Gatesman, CEO, Gatesman. "It is a privilege to work with companies that have a strong social conscience ? with the culture and values that Fellowes exhibits."

Currently celebrating its 100th year anniversary, Fellowes is striving to expand its current positive reputation and further its vision to be the most trusted business products brand in the world. Fellowes plans to continue its leadership in core markets segments, including storage/organization and shredders, while growing its portfolio in workplace management segments promoting the benefits of well-being and health, including sit-stands, furniture and air purification. The company is also committed to helping those in need. The Fellowes GIVE program has donated more than 5,000 employee hours and $1.3 million across various partner causes.

"We are a passionate company and wanted an equally passionate partner to help bring our brand story to life and build on our positive reputation globally," said John Fellowes, CEO, Fellowes Brands. "The Gatesman team had the strongest approach with the greatest insights into our target customer, and we're excited to see how this multi-faceted partnership will take our brand story and leadership to a new level."

The Fellowes account will be led out of Gatesman Noble's Chicago office. The pitch was one of the first following Pittsburgh-based Gatesman's acquisition of 49-year-old Noble Communications, with offices in Chicago and Springfield, Mo. The acquisition increased the agency's depth of expertise in new and existing areas with combined talent from both organizations, and added new and complementary capabilities to even better serve regional, national and international clients.

"It was an amazing experience to see our combined team in action, and we're even more excited to see the results we'll achieve together for this motivated and visionary new client," added Gatesman.
