In 2013, German based BFFT founded the US branch BFFT of America, located in the heart of the Silicon Valley, California. The service provider specializes in electronics and focuses on the three key topics of the automotive future: Digitization, e-mobility and autonomous driving. Surrounded by the big players in digitization like Apple, Google, Amazon or Uber, the BFFT experts work with clients like the Electronic Research Laboratory of the Volkswagen Group of America, among others. 'We support our clients on their way into the automotive future with our expertise in connectivity, infotainment and driver assistance systems,' said Angelika Eitermoser, CEO of BFFT of America. In close collaboration with the clients, BFFT develops test rigs, mules and test frameworks for advanced driver assistance systems and works on the integration of custom-made electronic components. Highly specialized engineers perform vehicle modifications to enable prototype technology testing on the road, backed by AI and machine learning.

This extensive expertise impressed the CIOReview jury which consists of CIOs, CTOs and experienced IT decision-makers. Based on entries submitted from the 80,000 CIOReview subscribers the jury first nominated 250 companies and then selected the '20 Most Promising Automotive Tech Solution Providers 2017'. Criteria were innovation ability, product portfolio, market significance and growth dynamic, amongst others. 'For BFFT of America, the CIOReview award is a further boost to take our dedication to innovation to the next level,' says Angelika Eitermoser.
