Over $155 Million in PA Lottery Scratch-Offs Prizes Won in September

MIDDLETOWN, Pa., Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Offs players claimed $155,449,325 in prizes during September, including top prizes of $3 million and $1 million. 

Turkey Hill Minit Market, 1 Brookhill Road, Sugarloaf, sold a winning $3,000,000 Extreme Green ticket worth $3 million. A winning Millionaire ticket worth $1 million was sold by Cigar Box, 218 Laurel Mall Drive, Hazleton. Both retailers are in Luzerne County.   

Other sizable scratch-offs prizes claimed during the month included:

• Three prizes of $300,000 (Butler, Dauphin and Washington counties);
• Two $250,000 prizes (Centre and Fayette counties); and
• Ten prizes of $100,000 (various counties).

Winner lists for all games are posted monthly in the Winners section of palottery.com. The lists include all winners of $1,000 or more, although many prizes below that threshold were won.

Scratch-Offs currently offer prizes ranging from a free ticket to $3 million. Before purchase, players should review and understand the rules, prizes remaining and specific chances of winning found at palottery.com. Prizes expire one year from a Scratch-Off game's end-sale date posted at palottery.com.

The overall chances of winning any prize, printed on the back of each ticket, are stated across all tickets produced in a game and not by consecutive tickets sold per pack. Random distribution ensures the Pennsylvania Lottery and retailers do not know where winning tickets will be sold.
