Skyworks Appoints Chief Development Officer

SALT LAKE CITY, Sept. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Skyworks, the global leader in gyronautics, announced that Marine Corps Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Biagio "Ben" Colandreo has joined the organization as the Chief Development Officer. In this role Colandreo will be responsible for business development, growth strategies and targeted outreach to potential partners, investors and customers.

Ben is a decorated AH-1W Cobra pilot who, over his 20-year military career, held a series of key roles that ranged from flight safety officer to squadron commander to staff officer for the Commanding General of the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing.  He is also an experienced business development and operations executive in the private sector, including four years as Director of Business Development for General Dynamics' IT subsidiary.

"Skyworks is delighted to have Ben join the team," said retired Air Force Brig. Gen. John Michel, Skyworks Executive Director. "His proven leadership and background in M&A, defense and venture capital make him the ideal candidate to help drive business momentum, particularly as Skyworks is now preparing to start taking customer orders for its optionally manned two seat ScoutHawk aircraft."

Ben received a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Towson University, a Masters of Business Administration (finance) from the College of William & Mary, and is a graduate of the Marine Corps' Weapons and Tactics Instructor course. Ben is also a commercial pilot, holding fixed-wing, multi & single engine and rotary-wing licenses.
