SOLE Financial's Paperless Trees Project, Two Months and 2233 Trees Later

PORTLAND, Ore., Sept. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Since July 1st 2017 when SOLE Financial rolled out their new corporate social responsibility program, Paperless Trees Project, they have planted 2233 trees and 64 clients have gone 100% paperless with their payroll including, Habitat for Humanity of NW Indiana, Luke's Lobster, and Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electrical.

For this new eco-focused project, SOLE has partnered with One Tree Planted to plant a grove of trees whenever one of their clients achieves 100% direct deposit. The SOLE Paperless Trees Project is a way to reward clients and the planet.

SOLE's first mission is to provide a valuable financial tool to the unbanked workforce, but its secondary mission is to leave the world a better place. It's more than just SOLE's Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy, it's a way to embrace paperless payroll and help companies go 'green' with their payroll.

Lindsay Wilson, SOLE's Marketing Director had this to say about the Paperless Trees Project, "We recognized the challenge that going paperless poses to payroll managers and have wanted for some time to tell our clients 'thank you' in a meaningful way. Celebrating our clients' paperless achievements with a paper certificate attached to a wood wall plaque felt pretty hypocritical and we thought 'why not plant trees?' We've been blown away at the response and remain ever grateful to our clients and partners for their support of the Tree Planting Project. We truly could not do it without them."

"SOLE's Paperless Trees Project was an added bonus that only reinforces our confidence that we are working with a conscientious and environmentally-aware partner." said, Carol Cooper, Director of Human Resources, from Hiller Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, & Electrical. "We are so very proud to have a grove of trees planted on our behalf to replace those damaged and destroyed in recent years. Thank you, SOLE, for allowing Hiller to participate in this honorable endeavor."
