Integrated Functional Electrical Stimulation Combined with Robotics Improves Clinical Outcomes

BLUE BELL, Pa., June 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Reha Technology USA Inc. is pleased to announce that starting from June 2017, it offers an FDA approved integrated Functional Electronic Stimulation (FES) for their G-EO System Evolution robotic gait trainer.

Matthew Brooks, Clinical Director of Reha Technology USA Inc. states: "The FES in conjunction with the G-EO System will allow clinicians to generate contractions in paralyzed or weakened muscles in lower extremities at the appropriate time in the walking cycle to maximize patient outcomes."

The integration of FES along with the G-EO System robotic gait trainer has demonstrated clinical success throughout Europe and Asia. Reha Technology USA Inc. is looking forward to broaden the adoption of the FES technology in the US market providing therapists with additional treatment possibilities in order to customize therapy for their patients. Paul Abrams, Executive VP of Reha Technology USA Inc. added: "We look forward to add this integrated FES feature to all of our current and future customers and we are confident that this extended offering will create added value for their therapy environment."
