PhysiMax Named Most Innovative Top Sports Startup by HYPE Foundation

LONDON, February 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --

PhysiMax, a groundbreaking sports technology company, today was named one of the Most Innovative Top Sports Startups by HYPE Foundation, a global platform for connecting and investing in sports innovation.

PhysiMax provides athletes with ongoing critical movement performance information and risk scoring for non-contact injuries, pinpointing factors to weigh the training needs of each athlete. PhysiMax empowers sports training staff with an easy-to-use tool, integrated within their training routine, to gain immediate objective data on each individual player's musculoskeletal condition. This data improves athletic team performance, shortens return times from injury and increases player strength. PhysiMax is currently being used by university athletic programs, professional sports teams, youth leagues and military organizations to help athletes avoid common high-impact sports injuries.

"With hundreds of sports technology companies offering a wide range of products and services, we are honored that the HYPE team recognized the major benefit provided by the PhysiMax innovative platform to scientifically drive athletes' performance and mitigate their risk for non-contact injury," said Ram Shalev, the CEO of PhysiMax.

The HYPE Jury committee is composed of industry experts including Simon Jones, head of innovation at TEAM SKY; Gerard Klein, global general manager at ASICS Corporation; Ollie Phillips, former captain of England 7 and past World Player of the Year; Marco Suvilaakso, Chief Strategy Officer at Polar; and Cathy White, head of communications at Tech City UK. The HYPE Jury committee identifies promising sports technology startups and assists them in navigating the main challenges typically faced, such as networking and targeted exposure, gaining customers' attention by winning over users and brands.

"With technology rapidly changing, sports industry leaders can no longer afford to be reactive," said Amir Raveh, CEO of HYPE Foundation. "We strive to select the unique ones with proven technology who are on the path to make a major impact on the industry. PhysiMax addresses and solves a tangible pain point for today's athletes and sports programs."
