Petrogas Acquires Interest in 6 Wells in OK and TX

HOUSTON, TX--(Marketwired - January 30, 2017) - Petrogas Company, Inc. (OTC PINK: PTCO) ("Petrogas Company" or "the Company"), today announced that it has acquired a fractional interest in 6 producing oil and gas wells located in Carter and LeFlore County, Oklahoma & Brazos and Fayette County, Texas. The wells are operated by BP America, Montgomery Exploration and Enervest.

In the third quarter of 2016, the total value for upstream transactions worth at least $10 million reached $20.2 billion dollars, according to data from PLS Inc., a Houston-based oil and gas research firm. That is more than double the level from a year earlier and approaches levels not seen since the beginning of the oil price downturn.

"The market is very ripe for acquisitions at the moment, and we are trying to close as many good deals as possible, as quickly as possible because we expect asset prices to rise by the end of Q1," said the CEO of Petrogas Company.
