Qfix® to Unveil Advancements in Positioning Reproducibility for Cancer Treatment at the 2018 ASTRO Annual Meeting

AVONDALE, Pa., Oct. 16, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Qfix will unveil new advancements for improving the reproducibility of day-to-day setups for cancer treatment later this week at the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) 2018 Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX, October 21-24.

Healthcare providers face the daily challenges of repeatable cancer care delivery. Reproducibility of patient positioning is imperative to achieving the best possible outcomes during a typical course of treatment. Qfix positioning devices allow patients to be imaged and treated on the same device and in the same position to better target the tumor and preserve the surrounding healthy tissues and organs, enhancing reproducibility and enabling the delivery of high precision radiation for the successful treatment of brain, breast, and lung cancer.

"Qfix invented the first thermoplastic mask for radiotherapy treatment through its predecessor company WFR-Aquaplast and continues to lead the evolution of innovative cancer treatment positioning devices," said John Temple, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Qfix. "Our technology combined with our industry partners' treatment delivery systems has huge potential to shape the future of successful patient outcomes."

The latest technology and innovations will be on display with live demonstrations in the Qfix Booth #1913 during the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO) annual meeting, October 21 - 24, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.
