Cory Watson Attorney Andrew Jones Named BBJ Rising Star Lawyer for 2018
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cory Watson Attorneys is pleased to announce that attorney Andrew Jones has been recognized by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of Birmingham's "Rising Stars of Law" for 2018.
This annual list honors and highlights up-and-coming lawyers in the Birmingham metro area. Jones is among 35 honorees that, according to the BBJ, were selected based on their contributions to their firms and their potential to shape the industry, and the Magic City's legal world, forward.

Since joining the firm in 2011, Jones quickly distinguished himself among his colleagues and clients. Within three years of becoming an attorney, he was tapped as co-lead of the firm's Asbestos practice group where he helped obtain more than $20 million in settlements for clients. He also had success as a litigator by fighting for a wrongful death case that had a positive impact on future cases statewide.
Jones attended the University of Alabama for his undergraduate studies and received his Juris Doctorate from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Jones serves as a mentor for Birmingham Southern's Panther Partnership program and is a member of the American Bar Association as well as the Alabama Association for Justice. He has been named as a National Trial Lawyers "Top 40 under 40."
