Lessem, Newstat & Tooson, LLP client sentenced today in Robert Mueller Russia probe

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 10, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Partner Jeremy Lessem comments on today's sentencing of client Richard Pinedo:

This morning, The Honorable Judge Dabney Friedrich sentenced Richard Pinedo to 6 months in custody with an additional 6 months of home confinement.  While it is unfortunate that Mr. Pinedo received any custodial time, we are pleased that Judge Friedrich imposed the minimum sentence possible pursuant to the applicable Federal Sentencing Guidelines.

In coming to this decision, it is clear that Judge Friedrich considered the entirety of Mr. Pinedo's situation. This includes the substantial cooperation he provided the office of the special counsel through his testimony before the federal grand jury investigating Russian interference into the 2016 presidential election.

Mr. Pinedo is grateful to his family and friends for their unwavering support. He looks forward to putting this painful experience behind him and resuming his normal life.
