When Hurricane Florence made landfall in early September, thousands of families were displaced, and many others lost their homes. Children and families affected in the surrounding areas of Wilmington, Fayetteville, Lumberton and Jacksonville will soon receive a 25-pound box of shelf stable food; a 10-pound box of essentials such as shampoo and toothpaste; additional sandwich meals kits; and Kids Disaster Backpacks with coloring books for children.

"It's important for us to stand by our neighbors during their time of need," said Amber Gregory, Employee Engagement Coordinator for Teleperformance. "Through our long-time partnership with Feed the Children, we've been able to reach families across the globe who are struggling to rebuild after a disaster."

In the Philippines, Typhoon Mangkhut affected approximately 1.7 million people and triggered more than 40 landslides, leaving behind destruction and loss. The support provided by Teleperformance will help survivors in Naga, Cebu with daily hot meals made with local ingredients in feeding stations that covers 15 municipalities, and rice distributions that will benefit approximately 2,000 families in four provinces. As residents are still assessing the damage, the Feed the Children Philippines team will continue to provide hands-on support to those in need.

"Because of the destruction, many parents don't even have a table to share a meal with their children," said John Ricketts, Director of Disaster Services for Feed the Children. "But thanks to partners like Teleperformance, we can continue our work to provide hope and resources to those affected by the storms. There is still a great deal to be done, but I strongly believe that together we can help them recover and move toward a new normal."
