Change In Venue: Stanley A. Milner Street Dedication in the Village at Griesbach

EDMONTON, Sept. 21, 2018 /CNW/ - Canada Lands Company and The South Alberta Light Horse will host a street naming and plaque unveiling ceremony in recognition of former Honourary Colonel Stanley A. Milner and the Milner family. The new street is located in Village at Griesbach.

Stanley Milner exemplified his family's commitment to Edmonton's military legacy serving as Honourary Colonel of The South Alberta Light Horse and as founder of The South Alberta Light Horse Regiment Foundation, a group which preserves regimental history and provides support for retired soldiers and military families. Mr. Milner was also a successful businessman and a city alderman. He held senior board positions with the Edmonton Public Library, University Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital and other provincial and civic institutions. He was awarded the Order of Canada and the Alberta Order of Excellence.

Village at Griesbach
This 620-acre community is located just 12 minutes north of downtown Edmonton and will eventually be home to approximately 13,000 people. The community features Edmonton's most spectacular natural amenities and parks including three kilometers of walking paths, four pristine lakes, oversized green spaces, military tribute parks and monuments, and the award-winning 24 acre Central Hill Park with viewing summit.
