The 28-person Board features local c-suite and senior executives, along with community partners ATDC, Technology Association of Georgia (TAG), Gwinnett Tech and the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce. The new Board members include:

"We're excited to add this exceptional group of people to our Board," says Karen Cashion, CEO of Tech Alpharetta. "We've been mindfully growing our Board, and I'm humbled by the phenomenal talent of our Board, and our Board members' enthusiasm for serving our tech community. Our new Board members include Robert Hendricks, who was a founding Board member and former chairman for Tech Alpharetta; our first investor member, Doug Ring, and three additional, senior tech thought leaders that bring a breadth of expertise."

Tech Alpharetta was established in 2012 to act as a strategic advisor to the city of Alpharetta to help grow its technology ecosystem. Its Board was charged with identifying and pursuing key opportunities and policy decisions. Since its inception, the Board's recommendations have led to the launch of Tech Alpharetta's Innovation Center, a successful tech startup incubator that is home to 50 tech startups; the creation of the city's economic development website, www.growalpharetta.com; a cellular gap study conducted on behalf of the city; the adoption of the ItsMyTown city app, developed by an Innovation Center-affiliated tech startup, ITSimple; and many other key recommendations.
