Michelle Obama Featured in New When We All Vote PSA, Campaign Announces Nearly 2,000 Events Around the Country for the National Week of Action


WASHINGTON, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In the run up to the National Week of Action, When We All Vote, a non-partisan, non-profit organization, released a new PSA featuring Co-Chair Michelle Obama encouraging Americans to register to vote and get to the polls this November and in every election.  "When We All Vote, we get new ideas and new energy. We get leaders that share our values," said Mrs. Obama in the PSA that will run on digital platforms and on radio across the country. The PSA will air over the next two weeks before voter registration deadlines.

Today, When We All Vote also launched its text message campaign which allows people to text WeAllVote to 97779 to register to vote.

During the Week of Action volunteers will host nearly 2000 grassroots events across the country. The purpose of these events is to recruit more volunteers, educate, register voters, and get them ready to vote every election. As previously announced, Co-Chair Michelle Obama will headline events during the Week of Action in Las Vegas (Sept. 23)  and Miami (Sept. 28). Co-Chairs Janelle Monae, Chris Paul, Tom Hanks and Faith Hill will also lead flagship events along with Loni Love, Keegan-Michael Key and Shonda Rhimes in Atlanta, Houston, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Detroit and Los Angeles, respectively.
